Vegas: I

We left Nashville early yesterday morning and arrived in Vegas around noon.  Well... it took us a few confusing encounters before realizing it was noon.  We both thought Vegas was on mountain time NOT pacific time.  I commented many times on the airplane that I couldn't understand why we had not yet landed and why we were so late.  ooops.

We made it to our hotel and were allowed to check in early.  We opted to stay at TI (formerly Treasure Island).  While definitely not my favorite casino, it has the exact location we were wanting and I'd read that all of the rooms were recently completely remodeled.  Check out our awesome room:

We are very happy with our choice of location.  We quickly threw down our stuff and headed across the street to the Palazzo- a new casino since our last visit.

Everything is made of brightly colored flowers.  So pretty!

We spent the afternoon gambling at penny poker.  We each played on one dollar all day and got unlimited free drinks.  At one time Mike asked me how I was winning so much and I said I'm a high roller- I switched to 2 cent hands! haha... I love Vegas! :)

Late in the afternoon we went back and got dressed for our night.  We had dinner reservations at an Italian place in the Venetian so we went there for some pre-dinner gambling.  Luckily we scored a free 15 dollar credit each.  At the rate we gamble... it will probably last our whole vacation!

One of the other perks of staying at TI was getting half price tickets to Mystere by Cirque du Soleil.  If you've ever seen one of these shows, you know how incredible they are.  We saw KA on our last trip here and were just as impressed with this one.

Now, we are off  to explore the strip! 70s and sunny.... yes please!
